– Location :

Sisteron is the entrance to the Haute Provence region, and a beautiful stop between the mountains and the sea. On Napoleon’s breathtakingly beautiful road, you will travel from lavender fields up into the Alps, and through characteristically charming towns and villages.
Open your eyes and discover the striking landscape of Sisteron. Here you will find architectural jewels, listed historical monuments, and cobbled, little roads passing through the whole town of Sisteron, up to the Citadel and down to the water. You also have the possibility to enjoy all of this gems at night, during the famous “Nights of the Citadel”, when concerts and theatre pieces are performed during the summer.
In the surroundings, you will discover other architecturally rich villages, which also offer incredibly breathtaking views over the valley of the Durance.
It is true to say that Provence is also a “Blue Gem”, with Serres Ponçon in the north, Esparron de Verdon and Sainte Croix de Verdon in the south. These big lakes offer unrivalled natural beauty and water activities in our region.
